20th Anniversary Celebration

Honoring Beverly Bernstein

Founding Educational Director

Beverly Bernstein has been OROT’s guiding light for 20 years.  She has worked tirelessly to develop deep and meaningful relationships with the administrators and mainstream teachers of host schools.  She has hired master teachers to work wonders with the students.  She has built trust with parents by being honest, supportive and knowledgeable. The love, patience and understanding Beverly displays toward her students is heartfelt and genuine. As Beverly prepares to retire from her role as Founding Educational Director of OROT, it has been our pleasure to bestow upon her a much-deserved honor.

On Thursday, May 16, more than 175 leaders in our community came together to celebrate Beverly and 20 years of OROT; donors, parents, teachers and students.  Our wonderful Celebration Co-Chairs, Melanie and Todd Lieberman, Stacey and Amir Goldman, Ad Journal Co-Chairs, Amy and Daniel Erlbaum and Robin and Steven Katz created an evening to remember.  We are grateful to Jennifer and Michael Willner, who graciously opened their beautiful home. Many spoke on behalf of Beverly and OROT. Sharing the impactful ways in which she and this program have forever changed their lives.

Supporting Jewish day school education for children with diverse learning needs is an inspiring cause which can only grow with your continued support and commitment.
